Wenonah Canoes
Established formally in 1968, We-no-nah Canoe has roots reaching back to the 1950's. The company is the outgrowth of a lifelong devotion to paddling by Mike Cichanowski, who began canoeing as a young Boy Scout, and who began manufacturing canoes while still in college. Today, We-no-nah is among the largest makers of canoes in general, and is the largest maker of ultra-light and high-performance models.
Wenonah Canak 16
With a hull shape similar to that of our most popular solo canoe the Prism, the new Wenonah Canak is great for solo lake camping when the capacity and portability of a canoe is needed, and the touring ability of a kayak is desired. The one of a kind bow and stern storage compartments are spacious and more accessible than standard kayak hatches for easy loading and unloading of canoe camping sized packs (rectangular packs up to 5500 cubes fit in the bow and 7000 cubes fit in the stern). The slip over covers provide a dry ride no matter the weather conditions. The floor mounted sliding seat and adjustable kayak style foot braces make this boat as comfortable as any large cockpit kayak. Choose from our eight composite colors for the deck, the hull is skin coat. No options.

Wenonah Adirondack 16'
Meant for day outings and for trips of a night or two, this model only has medium volume, but it paddles very efficiently with a light-to-moderate load. Canoe & Kayak Magazine tested it and said, "This is one smooth-paddling canoe, and it has excellent final stability. It's a bit less initially stable, but that is what gains the efficient paddling and glide."

Wenonah Argosy 14'6"
This canoe features more rocker (especially near the bow), more depth amidships, more bow flare and deeper ends to help keep the canoe dry in moderate whitewater. With slightly more rocker than many of our models, the Argosy excels in paddling through moving water, yet still glides through calm water effortlessly.

Wenonah Aurora 16'
Not meant for heavy expeditions, the Aurora does suit typical trips well. It's an easy-paddling hull that retains sufficient freeboard when loaded. Perhaps the Aurora's best feature is its good blend of initial and final stabilities. While steady enough for hunting or fishing, and to haul kids or a dog who may jump around, it's very seaworthy for a mid-sized canoe. Its carefully-contoured, shallow-arch hull is the reason.

Wenonah Boundary Waters 17'
Rock-solid stability with high capacity and good glide. This new touring canoe offers a unique blend of excellent stability and easy paddling. Extra fullness throughout the middle gives this canoe extra capacity. The bow and stern height are kept low to catch less wind. Curved webbed seats keep you in the center, yet offer flexible seating. Use it by yourself, with the family, or to take it through rough water with confidence.

Ideal to haul heavy loads on highly-challenging rivers. This canoe has blunt ends, angled stems, and 2" of rocker. It's also quite deep, and is one of our wider hulls. There's no mistaking the Cascade's mission; fast rivers, and treacherous waters.

Wenonah Itasca 19'
This ultimate expedition canoe hauls amazing loads, yet is easy to handle. Versatile enough for all-around use, the Itasca is an extreme design -- a seeming contradiction that takes some explaining. Large as it is, the Itasca handles like a smaller canoe. The wide and slightly-rockered hull turns much faster than you'd expect of its 19' length.

Wenonah Kingfisher 16'
While rock-solid stability is a major appeal of this recreational design, the Kingfisher has surprisingly good performance as well. Similar in concept to our Fisherman, the Kingfisher is an inch wider and a full two feet longer. Not only is it more comfortable for larger paddlers, the Kingfisher's extra length also gives it better efficiency, and improved capacity. And while it is not as maneuverable as the Fisherman, the Kingfisher's 16 foot length is still easy for most paddlers to manage.

Wenonah Prism 16'6"
At 16'6" long with a straight keel line and a very good surface-to-volume ratio, this is a performance-oriented hull. It has sleek lines and fine ends to give superb glide and speed. Ideal for cruising with a light load, the Prism is also fairly deep and wide with full sides to give lots of volume. The bow and stern are slightly flared to deflect waves and bow depth carries rearward for even more dryness.

Wenonah Spirit II 17'
"Balanced" is the best word to describe the Spirit II. It travels distances easily yet turns extremely well. It's capable on rapids, and open water, too. It's big enough for trips. It's also very stable. So, does it obsolete all others? No. If you want an elevated level of a certain attribute, say tracking or capacity, then a specialized design may suit you better. But if you need a canoe that delivers a good level of all types of performance, the Spirit II is ideal.

Wenonah Wenonah 17
New for 2011 we introduce the boat that started it all, the original, the 17 Wenonah. The first canoe ever designed by owner and founder Mike Cichanowski in 1965, this instant classic was originally built out of wood strip and fiberglass in Mikes parents backyard shed. A great general use, canoe camping, and family boat with a unique look and storied past, the 17 Wenonah is a must have for serious canoe connoisseurs and open boat history buffs.

Wenonah Voyager 17'6"
The solo version of the Minnesota II, the Voyager is long, lean, and quite deep. It has space and flotation for gear, with the efficiency to transport it well. A fine choice for lakes and open rivers, this hull addresses two salient issues: A solo trip requires more than half as much gear, but with only half the power to propel it. While some other models can fit enough load, the Voyager hauls it farther with less effort. It makes longer and heavier solo trips practical. Or, if a solo accompanies capable tandems on a trip, it usually must carry little gear, or it slows the pace. This hull makes the lone paddler an equal partner, hauling a fair share at a good rate.

Wenonah Backwater 15
A square stern canoe with excellent stability.
New for 2010, the Backwater square stern canoe is for sportsmen with motorized intentions. The rigid aluminum and wood mounting bracket makes for quick and easy addition of a small motor.
Sized for two people and a load of gear, it works great for duck hunting shallow backwater marshes or float fishing rocky rivers.
Super stable, the Backwater is a blast when coupled with the right sized motor. We recommend a small outboard in the 2-3hp range, or a trolling motor in 50-55# thrust range to unlock this boats true potential. To off set the weight of the motor, place the battery or gas tank as far forward as possible.
